Spit is a fast-paced, two-player card game that requires speed and quick reflexes. Here’s how to play:
- Shuffle a standard 52-card deck and deal it evenly between two players.
- Each player makes five stacks in front of them: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 cards per stack, face down, with the top card face up.
- The remaining cards form each player’s stockpile.
- Place two cards from your stockpiles in the center to start the spit piles.
- Players simultaneously play cards from their stacks onto the spit piles if the card is either one rank higher or lower.
- If no moves are possible, both players say “spit” and place new spit pile cards.
- The game continues until one player runs out of cards in their stacks and stockpile. They win!
