UNO is a popular card game that’s easy to learn and fun for all ages. Here’s a simple guide on how to play UNO.
Objective
The main goal is to be the first player to score 500 points by discarding all your cards.
Setup
- Each player draws a card; the highest number deals (special cards count as zero).
- The dealer shuffles and deals 7 cards to each player.
- Place the remaining deck face down, then flip the top card to start the discard pile.
Gameplay
- Match a card from your hand to the top card of the discard pile by number, color, or symbol.
- If you can’t match, draw a card from the deck. If it’s playable, you can play it immediately.
- Use special action cards like Skip, Reverse, Draw Two, Wild, and Wild Draw Four to gain an advantage.
- When you have one card left, shout “UNO!” If another player catches you not saying “UNO,” you must draw two cards as a penalty.
Winning
- The first player to discard all their cards wins the round.
- Points are scored based on the cards left in opponents’ hands.
- Continue playing rounds until a player scores 500 points.
